How It Started: Valerie’s journey began with a genuine love for the technical side of photography. What started as taking photos of her own kids quickly grew into a thriving business as friends and local families fell in love with her work. Since then, she’s become a trusted favorite for maternity, newborn, and family photography, with a special passion for:

Before becoming a full-time photographer, Valerie spent over a decade working in veterinary hospitals—so pets are always welcome in her sessions! A few fun facts about Valerie:
🎤 She once auditioned for a school musical in middle school singing “Under the Sea” from The Little Mermaid. (She didn’t get the role—but here at NSI, we think Disney missed out!)
🏓 Outside of work, she loves playing pickleball whenever she can.
🐾 She gives back by sponsoring local schools and donating to organizations like the Food Bank of NC and Wake County SPCA.
